Band of Horses

Two weeks ago, I did something I haven’t yet done in Knoxville:  I got home from work, showered, and did not immediately change into sweatpants.  It was kind of exciting!  We watched the Cardinals game and left to eat and see Band of Horses at the Tennessee theater.  We are cheap and were in a time crunch, so we stopped at a little Mexican food cart in a parking lot near our apartment.  Finally, we’ve found authentic Mexican food here!  (Cherokee St. has spoiled me.)

It was my first time in the theater, and I was surprised at how old and regal it was.  Knoxville’s downtown is fairly new/renovated, and they don’t have nearly the amount of old and historic buildings that St. Louis does.  But the Tennessee theater did not disappoint.  The inside reminded us of a cross between the Fox and the Peabody Opera House.  The show didn’t disappoint, either.
